Neighborhood delivery, in the making

Local food
goes further.

Dropline is exploring a better way to bring independent food to your block. The idea is for neighbors to plan orders for a shared delivery window, with nearby orders traveling together. The pilot is not taking orders yet.

We’re validating the idea with residents and independent food makers.

A different kind of delivery

Order ahead.
Move together.

Instead of one driver making one trip per meal, Dropline is designed to gather orders headed to the same neighborhood into a planned run.

01 / PLAN

Plan around a shared window.

If the pilot moves forward, neighbors could plan orders from independent restaurants and food makers ahead of a delivery window.

02 / GATHER

Group nearby orders on one route.

Orders for the same area could be grouped into a shared route, helping food makers prepare for a known handoff.

03 / DELIVER

Keep the connection close to home.

The model is intended to help restaurants keep more of each sale and stay connected to the customers who choose them.

For the people behind the menu

Stronger neighborhood routes start with independent kitchens.

Restaurant and food-maker interest is welcome. Use the same note below and tell us what you make.

Built around real relationships

More room for local food to grow.

Dropline is exploring a lower-commission approach that lets independent businesses keep more from each sale, while owning the connection with their customers.

No restaurant accounts, merchant menu or order dashboard, or scheduled meal checkout are available. We’re listening first, so a pilot can be shaped around what residents and food makers need.

For prospective drivers

Want to drive a neighborhood route?

Use the form below to share interest in future pilot routes. Put “Driver application” in your message. This only sends an interest note; it does not create a driver account, profile, screening, or dispatch access.

Standards for a possible pilot

  • Background, driver’s-license, and vehicle checks would be part of a future screening process.
  • Vehicles would need to be model year 2003 or newer.
  • Drivers could have no more than 3 points on their license.
  • A future driver profile would require a profile picture and license plate.
  • Open communication between driver and customer would be expected at 100%.
  • Two disciplinary strikes would mean removal from the assignment and platform.
  • One account per person would be allowed.

This form only records interest. Driver profiles, dispatch access, and background, license, or vehicle checks are not available now. Please don’t send license or plate details.
